Swamy to fi le appeal before Delhi HC against clean chit to PC

JAIPUR : Janta Party President

Subramanian Swamy

said by the end of the month

he would fi le appeal before

the Delhi High Court against

the CBI Special Court’s

clean chit to Union Finance

Minister P Chidambaram in

the 2G Spectrum scam.

Talking to reporters here on

Thursday Swamy said, ‘The

trial court’s verdict does not

mean that Chidambaram had

no role in the scam, I have

suffi cient proof/evidences

and also have faith in the

judiciary’. The former

Union Law Minister said, ‘I

have time of three months

for fi ling an appeal and that

would be moved within this

month’. Targeting the ruling

Congress and its Government

at the Centre, the

Janta party Chief said the

party was totally exposed

before masses in this biggest

scam involved money to the

tune of Rs 72,000 crore.

He also criticised the leadership

of Congress Supremo

Sonia Gandhi and said under

her leadership the Congress

lost its original face

and character.

Over Assembly elections

in Uttar Pradesh, he said the

contest was between leaderships

of Chief Minister

Mayawati and former chief

minister Mulayam Singh

Yadav. Swamy was in the

town to deliver a lecture.
