Chennai to host ‘Hale Chakra 2012’

CHENNAI: Q3 Ventures,
in association with Ogawa,
the International Health
and Wellness brand, has
launched Chennai’s fi rst and
only Health Pageant ‘Hale
Chakra 2012’.
The event was aimed at
focusing on healthy lifestyle
and spread the message on
the importance of being and
feeling healthy. The event
was launched by Louis
Chong, Executive Director
of Healthy World Lifestyle,
Malaysia and Arun Sharma,
Director of Sharma Brothers
Retail Private Limited,
the exclusive distributor for
OGAWA in India.
Positioned as hunt for the
‘Healthy Man’ and ‘Healthy
Women’ of the city, the preliminary
rounds like Health
and examinations, fi tness
assessments, Yoga Sessions,
Grooming Activities
and Health IQ quiz to gauge
the Health Quotient of the
participants began on April
seven and would go on for
a month.
The aggregate highest
scorer would be crowned
‘Healthy Man’ and ‘Healthy
Women’ at the grand fi nale
in May.
The competition features an
extensive range of gifts and
prizes worth Rs fi ve Lakh
for the winners and participants.
In the present era, youth’s
perception on Health was
not that much encouraging
going by the alarming rise
of obesity and health-disorders.
Arun Sharma said
the need of the hour was a
paradigm shift that brings
to light the importance of
health and the benefi ts of
being healthy.
