Security beefed up in embassies in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Security has been tightened at all embassies in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu and those in other parts of the state as a precautionary measure following the explosion in a car of Israeli embassy in New Delhi this afternoon. According to offi cial sources the Centre has directed the states to take this measure in the embassies following the explosion in the Israeli embassy in the national capital. Tight security measures have also been taken at the residences of senior offi cials in the foreign embassies, as an additional measure.
