Novelist Chattaprabha bags award

KANNUR: Well known Novelist Chattaprabha has been chosen for the third ‘Deshamithram Sahithya Prathibha’ award -2012, instituted by Sopanam Charitable Trust, Azhikode. Trust Chairman, Kannoth Madhavan today said the award carries a certifi cate and a trophy and would be presented by Prof Mohammed Ahamed, Folklore Akademi Chairman, and here on February 19. As part of this function, the fi rst copy of a book written by M O G Malapattam ‘ Poomarangalum Punnarapookalam’, would be released by Kannur All India Radio (AIR) Programme head, Balakrishnan Koyyal. The book, in the 33 volumes, is a compilation of’ Subashitham’ broadcast by AIR, during 2005 to 2010.
