Jaya condoles killing of school teachers, announces solatium

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief MinisterJ Jayalalithaa has condoled the killing of a woman school teacher inside the classroom in the city and announced a solatium of Rs two Lakh to her family. In a statement here last night, Ms Jayalalithaa expressed shock and grief over the killing of the teacher Uma Maheswari of St Mary’s Anglo Indian School by her student on February nine. She expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and announced the assistance from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
