LKH gets approval to set up Ayush Park

HYDERABAD; Lepakshi Knowledge Hub (LKH) has received an approval from the ‘Scheme Monitoring Committee’ of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to set up a 20-acre Ayush cluster within the 10,000 acres eco-sytem it intends to develop in Anantapur. The Ayush Park, fi rst-ofits- kind in the state will be constructed within the Lepakshi Knowledge Hub Ecosystem with an investment of Rs 18 crore and will attract over Rs 125 crore investments from companies developing and manufacturing nutraceuticals and other medicinal products. A release from Lepakshi here today said the Master plan of the Ayush cluster and its marketing will be done by IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative and is expected to create direct employment for over 100 people and provide income opportunity for over 5000 farmers in the releated sector. Commenting on the development, Lepakshi Knowledge Hub Managing Director Srinivas Balaji said ‘This is an inclusive growth initiative of Lepakshi Knowledge Hub. He said as Ananthapur is renowned as a source for medical plants, the park will connect farmers in the region with the market for their produce and ensure that supply chain ineffi ciencies are removed, farmers are able to negotiate better and companies have an ecosystem that helps them to source material and manpower easily. Lepakshi Knowledge Hub is an innovate and unique self-sustaining ecosystem to create diversifi ed industry clusters that promote large scale economic growth.
