Anti nuke protesters take rally to condemn MK

TIRUNELVELI: Hundreds of anti-Nukeactivists, majority of them women, took out a black fl ag rally as a mark of protest against the visit of DMK PresidentM Karunanidhi to Sankarankoil for an election campaign at Idinthakarai, here on Thursday. The rally, which commenced from Idinthakarai, culminated at Vijayapathi Village, this evening where the agitators staged a slogan shouting demonstration. The rallyists carried black fl ags and shouted slogans against the DMK leader for his stand on Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP). The anti-Nuke activists were protesting the visit of DMK patriarch to condemn his demand to the Centre to commission KKNPP. All the shops and commercial establishments in Koodankulam downed their shutters in support of the black fl ag rally.
