Global conference on control of Nuclear fuels Feb 27

HYDERABAD: A 3-day International Conference on Characterisation and Quality Control of Nuclear Fuels (CQCNF-2012),organised by Hyderabad-based Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), will be held in the city from February 27.Experts from IAEA and 18 foreign delegates from Argentina, Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Republic Korea, Russia, South Africa and USA are participating in the conference organised in cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and with the support of BRNS, NFC Public Relations Offi cer Y Nagarjuna prasad said in a release here today. As many as 140 delegates will attend the conference to be inaugurated by Atomic Energy Commission Chairman and Deartment of Atomic Energy Secretary Dr S Banerjee and IAEA Deputy Director General Dr A V Bychkov and Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCI) Chairman and Managing Director, Dr S K Jain, will grace the occasion as guest of honour, the release said. This is the fourth time that a global conference on nuclear fuels is being conducted in the city and expected to provide forum for stock taking of the latest developments and sharing of views among the researchers in the area of Quality Control of Nuclear fuels, the release added.
